Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Deanthony Pederson (ranked 337 p4p, 714 weight class) and Dean Gaines (ranked 36 p4p, 89 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pederson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gaines connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pederson scrambles back to his feet.

Gaines felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

In his post fight interview, Deanthony Pederson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
