This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 132 wins and 81 losses; Moldy Jello! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 129 wins and 87 losses; Kurt Diesel!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Jello jumps guard.
Diesel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jello wants to sweep here but Diesel controlling him for the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jello keeping full guard, as Diesel tries to pass.
We've been hearing good reports from Jello's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jello can't keep his opponent in guard - Diesel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jello is looking to control Diesel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jello avoid being mounted?
Jello is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Diesel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Diesel prevents Jello from improving his position.

Diesel is pressing down on Jello's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jello is holding on for now.

Jello is trying to maintain the position but Diesel is very close to passing his half guard.
Jello is trying to control but Diesel passes into side control!

Diesel tries to move to mount but Jello blocks the move with his legs.

Jello tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diesel wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Diesel tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Jello is looking for a sweep.
Diesel moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Diesel wants to take a breather but Jello manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Diesel.
Diesel lying in Jello's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Jello decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Diesel taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
