This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 66 wins and 67 losses; Gaston Juncker! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 113 wins and 74 losses; Bogdan Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Kersikov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Juncker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kersikov somewhat. Juncker fails with a takedown attempt. Juncker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kersikov's waist but Kersikov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Juncker off to one side. Juncker fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gaston Juncker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

It looks like Kersikov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Kersikov passes Juncker's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kersikov in particular looking to stall.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Juncker won't allow Kersikov to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Juncker is trying to maintain the position but Kersikov is very close to passing his half guard. Kersikov is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Juncker is trying is best to control the position here.

 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Juncker is working hard here to advance position. Kersikov's corner is telling him to maintain position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kersikov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Juncker's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Juncker (4) vs (4) Kersikov Juncker seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that's the end of the fight! As we have tied on points and both fighters attempted the same number of subs, we will decide the bout based on the toss of a coin!
