This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 6 losses; Rat Man! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 11 losses; Elim Garak! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Man shoots for a takedown but Garak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Garak has Man up against the cage in a clinch.
Man is looking to take this one to the mat. Man wants to take the fight to the mat but Garak manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Garak has hold of one of Man's legs. Man is fighting the takedown attempt but Garak gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Man looking to control.

Man swings around for an armbar but Garak sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Man's guard. Garak got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garak has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted. Man has his hands on Garak's head, controlling the position. Man tries to land a sweep but no joy.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Man controls Garak momentarily but Garak frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Man is looking to sweep but instead, Garak has passed into half guard.

Man is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Man tries to reverse the position but Garak maintains control. Man tries to lock up and control but Garak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Garak's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Man. Garak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Garak wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
