The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hozdic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Banner napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hozdic controls the position from side control. Banner tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hozdic takes a little break here. Banner wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Banner is looking to regain half guard here but Hozdic keeps moving and retains side control.

Hozdic taking a break here but Banner is having none of it and regains half guard.
