Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Okongwu (ranked 658 p4p, 445 weight class) and Moses Okafor (ranked 89 p4p, 67 weight class). Okongwu comes to the cage accompanied by Show Stop - REASON. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 34 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauro Okongwu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moses Okafor! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okongwu throws a half hearted mid kick. Okafor looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Okongwu throws a lazy body kick and Okafor counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Okongwu!
Okongwu is rocked! Okongwu keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Okafor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Okafor is nestled in close to Okongwu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Okafor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Okongwu is looking for a sweep. Okafor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okongwu trying to control but Okafor postures up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Well, if Okafor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Okafor checks a leg kick. Okafor tries to counter by closing the distance. Okongwu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Okafor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Okongwu throws a chopping leg kick but Okafor manages to avoid taking any serious damage. It seemed like Okafor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Okongwu misses with a low kick.
Okafor tries to counter with a clinch but Okongwu shakes him off and moves away. Okongwu throws a leg kick but Okafor sees it coming and moves out of range. Okafor tries to counter by closing the distance. Okafor is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Okongwu misses the jab. A little jabbing left from Okafor on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A telegraphed right hand from Okongwu misses the target. A bone on bone clash there as Okafor blocks the leg kick.
Okafor bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Okongwu! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Mauro Okongwu has been cut. Okafor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Okafor scoring with some ground and pound. Okafor stays in close to Okongwu's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okongwu looking to control but Okafor passes into half guard.
Okongwu gets back to full guard.
Okafor is looking to pass into half guard but Okongwu pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Okongwu is in guard.
Okafor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Okongwu is aware though and is defending well. Okafor pulls Okongwu in to control the position. Okafor looking to control.
Okongwu pushing down on Okafor's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Okongwu tries to pass to full mount but Okafor defends it. Okafor trying to control here.
Okafor is trying to stand up here but Okongwu is controlling him well. Okongwu looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Okafor is controlling Okongwu's position as best he can from this difficult position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Moses Okafor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mauro Okongwu's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Okafor walks forward, straight into a front kick from Okongwu. Okongwu misses with a right hand and Okafor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Okongwu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Okongwu connects with a crisp jab. Okongwu throws a poor cross that misses

and Okafor counters with a lovely shot to the body. Okongwu smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Okafor misses with a straight right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice cross by Okongwu. Okongwu throws a push kick but Okafor slaps the foot to one side. Okafor now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Okongwu misses with a straight left. The fighters circling - Okongwu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mauro Okongwu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okongwu misses with an uppercut
and Okafor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mauro Okongwu's cut is getting worse. Okongwu throws a leg kick and Okafor counters with a big left hand that crumples Okongwu! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Moses Okafor! Moses Okafor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
