Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Big Baby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dong Hyun Kim! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Kim looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Baby throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Kim counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kim darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Baby is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kim scores with a couple of nice shots. Baby trying to control but Kim postures up.
Baby is looking to improve his position.
Baby is looking to control Kim's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Baby avoid being mounted? Baby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kim on the ground. Kim is trying to control. Baby wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kim stops Baby from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baby won't allow Kim to pass to mount. Kim wants to control but Baby is keeping him busy. Baby wants to get back to full guard. Kim wants to take a breather but Baby is having none of it. Kim wants to stand up but Baby has a hold of him and won't allow it. Kim is looking to advance position but Baby won't allow it. Kim trying to control from half guard but Baby is working away.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Baby looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Baby circles away. Baby shoots in and gets a takedown into Kim's guard. Kim throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim controls Baby momentarily but Baby frees himself. Kim has his hands on Baby's head, controlling the position. Baby wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving. Kim is trying to control the position but Baby postures up. Kim is controlling Baby's posture. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Baby wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim throws a head kick but Baby moves out of range.

Kim shoots in looking for a takedown. Baby tries to sprawl out of it but Kim keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Baby manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kim throws a head kick but Baby moves out of range.
Baby looking for a takedown here - he's got it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kim is on top in guard.
Kim looks winded! Baby looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kim is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baby controls Kim momentarily but Kim frees himself. Kim engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Baby lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Baby won't allow Kim to get back to his feet. Kim keeping moving, preventing Baby from controlling successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dong Hyun Kim dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Kim moves in looking to clinch but Baby pushes him off. Kim moves into range and clinches up with Baby. Baby is trying to drag Kim to the mat but Kim just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kim pulls guard. Kim throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Baby wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baby stops Kim from standing up. Kim doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim is trying to keep Baby in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim throws his legs up looking for a submission but Baby uses it to pass to side control.
Kim is trying to improve his position. Baby lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Dong Hyun Kim has got the better of the ground game so far. Kim is looking to reverse the position. Kim sneaks back into half guard. Kim trying to control here.
Baby looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Kim manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kim keeping moving, preventing Baby from controlling successfully. Kim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Baby is looking to escape. Baby trying to control here.
Baby is not content to let Kim control the position. Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baby wants to control but Kim is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kim trying to mount his opponent but Baby defends it. Kim is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kim with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Baby tries to roll over but Kim keeps him under control. Kim throwing shots but Baby is blocking nicely. Baby is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kim has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kim pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Baby is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kim!
