Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Octavio Maynard!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlat lands a head kick. Maynard smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Shlat throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maynard.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Maynard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Shlat's face as Maynard controls the position.
Shlat tries to bench press Maynard off him but Maynard keeps the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Maynard looks for a takedown but Shlat sprawls well.
Maynard dives in and grabs Shlat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shlat pushes down on Maynard's head and hops out.

Shlat throws out a leg kick but Maynard moves out of range and Shlat only half commits.
Maynard changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Maynard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maynard lands in his opponent's guard.
Shlat wants to sweep here but Maynard controlling him for the moment.
Maynard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
