Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Islim Makhmud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Romulus Gerber!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makhmud avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice jab there from Makhmud.
Makhmud looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gerber swings widly with a right hand
and Makhmud counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Makhmud digs a good body shot into Gerber's ribs.
Gerber misses with a straight right.
Makhmud tries to clinch but Gerber is having none of it.
Gerber has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gerber has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gerber there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gerber fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Makhmud is out of range.
Makhmud throws a looping overhand right but Gerber ducks down to avoid it.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Makhmud checks a leg kick.
Makhmud rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gerber counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gerber bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Makhmud lands a big right hand that sends Gerber crashing to the mat! Makhmud stays standing though and waves Gerber back to his feet!

It looks like Romulus Gerber has been cut.
Makhmud moves into range and clinches up with Gerber.
Gerber struggles to land a body shot inside as Makhmud controls his hands.
Makhmud tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gerber's elbow.
Gerber misses with a body punch.
Gerber misses with an elbow over the top.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Makhmud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Makhmud lands a hook that snaps the head of Gerber backwards.
Makhmud lands with a short shot to the head.
Makhmud lands a big right hand that drops Gerber! The killer instinct kicks in and Makhmud finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Makhmud!
