Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Mehoff (ranked 3682 p4p, 4570 weight class) and Vasilii Lynchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Mehoff has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Mehoff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasilii Lynchenko! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mehoff looks to land a combination. Lynchenko sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Mehoff looks to land a left hand but Lynchenko moved out of range nicely. Lynchenko takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lynchenko is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mehoff darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Mehoff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lynchenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mehoff lands with a nice body punch. Mehoff throws a series of strikes that have Lynchenko backpedaling.
This has been an exciting period of action! Lynchenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mehoff lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mehoff fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mehoff lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lynchenko circles away quickly and effectively. Lynchenko throws a counter combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mehoff connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Mehoff lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mehoff. Mehoff swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mehoff ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lynchenko moves away. Lynchenko wants to counter the offense by Mehoff and move into the clinch position. Lynchenko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jab by Mehoff. Mehoff looks to score with a jab to the body but Lynchenko is just out of range. Lynchenko changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jack Mehoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mehoff is breathing heavily. Lynchenko slips a straight right by Mehoff. Lynchenko steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mehoff. Mehoff looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Mehoff misses with a left hand and Lynchenko counters with a shoot takedown. Mehoff fights it but they end up in guard. Lynchenko trying to control but Mehoff is working from the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lynchenko throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynchenko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lynchenko trying to control but Mehoff is working from the bottom. Lynchenko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynchenko throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mehoff works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynchenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lynchenko drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lynchenko seems to have locked his on tight now - Mehoff screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lynchenko, as he picks up the win!
