Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francesco Garrone (ranked 3359 p4p, 25065 weight class) and Xi Daerji (ranked 293 p4p, 0 weight class). Francesco Garrone is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Francesco Garrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrone thuds a left hand into Daerji's body.
Decent striking displayed by Garrone there.
Daerji shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garrone defends it nicely.
Garrone throws a nice outside leg kick.
Garrone misses with a jab, cross combination.
Garrone wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Daerji tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garrone defends well and Daerji ends up having to push Garrone into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Garrone tries to clinch there but Daerji circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Daerji tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garrone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daerji somewhat.
Francesco Garrone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xi Daerji.

Garrone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Daerji shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Garrone as he avoids it easily.
Garrone lands a glancing blow to the side of Daerji's head.
Garrone darts in and clinches Daerji up against the cage.
Daerji looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Garrone breaks from the clinch.
Daerji has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Garrone lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Garrone instigates a clinch.
Garrone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Daerji is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Garrone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jab, jab by Garrone - just one landing.
Garrone tries to close the distance and clinch but Daerji swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Daerji takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Daerji avoids a punch combination nicely.
Daerji takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Daerji takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Daerji is rocked!
Daerji gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Daerji tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Garrone is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Daerji buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Daerji!! Daerji is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Garrone throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Francesco Garrone!
