The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riber goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Phoenix Ware has been cut. Riber displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ware. Riber lands a left and a right that send Ware crashing to the mat, dazed. Riber thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ware is rocked! Ware tries to close the distance and clinch but Riber swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ware is still on wobbly legs! Can Riber finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Riber throws an uppercut from hell that sends Ware clean off his feet! He's out cold! Riber stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brayan Riber!
