Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Kimchi (ranked 3856 p4p, 4381 weight class) and Stryka Beam (ranked 389 p4p, 419 weight class). Beam has chosen Fiend by Travis Scott as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Kimchi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stryka Beam! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimchi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Beam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kimchi is in Beam's guard. Beam keeping moving, preventing Kimchi from controlling successfully. Beam preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kimchi sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kimchi wants to control from the top but Beam keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beam looking for a sweep. Not yet Beam, not yet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Beam can do anything to dispel that myth.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Beam utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Beam is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stryka Beam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beam throws a right and a left that both miss. Beam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Beam! But no joy. Beam avoids the head kick by Kimchi.
Kimchi shoots in for a takedown but Beam shows good takedown defense. Beam leaves Kimchi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Beam throws out a counter right but Kimchi avoids it with no problem. Nice body kick from Kimchi. Beam closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Beam gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kimchi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Beam works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kimchi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kimchi wants to control from the top but Beam keeps moving.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kimchi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Beam, up you get! Beam stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Kimchi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kimchi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kimchi gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Kimchi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. As Kimchi backs off Beam throws a huge counter combo but Kimchi manages to avoid it all. Beam closes the distance and clinches up with Kimchi, looking for a takedown. Beam pushes Kimchi against the cage but Kimchi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Beam's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Beam duly obliges. Beam looks winded!

 It looks like Stryka Beam has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kimchi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kimchi tries to keep at a distance but Beam has taken the fight into the clinch. Beam lands with a light punch inside. Kimchi on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kimchi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Beam's guard. Kimchi trying to control but Beam is working from the bottom. Kimchi scores with a decent looking elbow strike. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Stryka Beam dominated that round. The cut man is working on Stryka Beam's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kimchi misses with a combination
and Beam counters with a series of strikes. Kimchi will be more careful next time no doubt. Kimchi wants to clinch up but Beam keeps it at a distance. Beam swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Beam scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kimchi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beam manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Beam avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kimchi wants to control from the top but Beam keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kimchi passes Beam's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Beam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kimchi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kimchi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beam does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kimchi works his foot free and advances to mount. Kimchi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beam is looking to escape. Beam wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kimchi.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Beam is squirming around, avoiding Kimchi's attempts to control the action. Beam is working to get back to half guard.
Kimchi wants to control the pace but Beam is squirming around nicely. Kimchi unloading with bombs!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Beam wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kimchi.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kimchi looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Poor strikes thrown by Kimchi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kimchi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kimchi looking to secure an arm triangle but Beam defends it well. Kimchi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Patrick Kimchi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Beam wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. The referee is taking a good look at Beam as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Kimchi!

Patrick Kimchi dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Stryka Beam's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Beam gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kimchi to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kimchi wants to control from the top but Beam keeps moving. Kimchi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Beam is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Beam tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beam keeping moving, preventing Kimchi from controlling successfully.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kimchi postures up in Beam's guard and throws a big left but Beam blocks it.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Beam stalks Kimchi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kimchi's face. Kimchi staggers backwards, shaken. Beam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kimchi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beam pinned against the cage. Beam gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kimchi shoots in looking for a takedown but Beam manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kimchi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kimchi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Beam's sensitive parts.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Beam will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kimchi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Beam has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kimchi off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kimchi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beam.

Stryka Beam seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fight stays on the outside here - Kimchi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimchi darts in looking for a takedown but Beam gets double underhooks and turns Kimchi into the cage.
Beam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Beam scores with a three punch combo!
Beam throws a nice looking combination but Kimchi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kimchi throws a head kick that misses. Beam throws a right hand that Kimchi ducks under and follows up with a left that Kimchi also avoids with ease. Beam on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kimchi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kimchi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beam as he jumps to the side.

 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kimchi doesn't manage to clinch there - Beam circles away.

Beam fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kimchi is out of range. Beam with a jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Beam throws a series of punches but Kimchi moves out of range. Kimchi shoots in looking for a takedown. Beam tries to sprawl out of it but Kimchi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beam manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kimchi takes the fight into the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Stryka Beam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Beam has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
