Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Guy River (ranked 2699 p4p, 5219 weight class) and Rafael Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). River kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gabon National Anthem. Rafael Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guy River!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Gracie stalks River and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into River's face. River staggers backwards, shaken.
River with a nice cross.
River dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
River scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
River throws a one two combo.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
River lands with a thumping leg kick.
River explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
River comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gracie takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
River throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gracie on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Gracie walks into a stiff left hand from River.
That's one minute gone in the round.

River bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gracie's head backwards.
River lands a big right hand that sends Gracie crashing to the mat! River stays standing though and waves Gracie back to his feet!
Gracie is rocked!
River moves in close and cracks Gracie with a massive right hand! Gracie, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by River!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guy River!
