Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Doo Ho Choi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Bernados! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Watson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernados with a poor takedown and Choi counters with a one-two to the body. A head kick misses from Choi. Choi drives through with a takedown into guard. Bernados keeping full guard, as Choi tries to pass. Choi is working hard here to advance position. Bernados is trying to keep Choi in close.
Choi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Choi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bernados seems keen to control Choi's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bernados is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Choi throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bernados tries for a takedown but Choi circles away easily and Choi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Choi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. An elbow from Choi crashes against the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bernados tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Choi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bernados can't do much from the bottom here. Choi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Choi is staying tight to Bernados's torso, preventing him from escaping. Bernados holding on. Bernados gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choi wants to pass to mount but Bernados is defending the position. Choi is keen to just control but Bernados is a slippery customer. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Choi wants to pass to mount but Bernados is defending the position. Choi is thwarting Bernados's attempts to control the position. Bernados might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Choi haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Choi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bernados. Doo Ho Choi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Bernados.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bernados has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bernados is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Choi is defending well. Choi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Choi lands a nice shot to the body.

Choi has Bernados pressed against the cage, preventing Bernados from circling away and getting back to striking at range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Choi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Choi shoots in and gets a takedown into Bernados's guard. Bernados wants to sweep here but Choi controlling him for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Doo Ho Choi dominated that round. That's time! Choi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Bernados has his takedown stuffed and Choi moves into the clinch. Choi manages to break the clinch.
Bernados works over Choi's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Doo Ho Choi has been cut. Bernados darts in looking for a takedown but Choi gets double underhooks and turns Bernados into the cage. Doo Ho Choi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Choi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Choi pushes Bernados up against the cage in a clinch. Bernados has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Choi after a bit of a struggle. Choi is fending him off so far but Bernados persists. Nope, Choi circles away and we're back to standing. Choi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bernados.
Choi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bernados's head. Bernados shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bernados was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Choi is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bernados tries for a kimura but Choi is defending well. Choi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bernados can do to turn this around? Choi gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bernados seems to be working for a kimura but Choi defends the submission attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bernados seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Choi is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
