Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Oliveira (ranked 3846 p4p, 4930 weight class) and Asher Ax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Oliveira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Asher Ax! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ax is defended easily by Oliveira. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ax. Ax shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Oliveira sprawls well. Oliveira wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ax gets slowly back to his feet. Oliveira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ax is trying to get back to full guard. Oliveira is looking to advance position but Ax won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ax tries to get to full guard but Oliveira has control of the leg. Oliveira controlling the action here. Oliveira wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Oliveira trying to control the action but Ax is working from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Oliveira prevents Ax from improving his position. Oliveira is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ax forces Oliveira back against the cage and clinches. Ax is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Oliveira is defending well. Charles Oliveira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asher Ax. Ax taking a breather. Ax prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ax has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oliveira uses from the top position. Ax working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oliveira. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oliveira postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Oliveira sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Ax doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Oliveira paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Ax - great work!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Asher Ax! In his post fight interview, Asher Ax started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
