Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Bulldog (ranked 5061 p4p, 3773 weight class) and Miguel Shepherd (ranked 479 p4p, 413 weight class). Shepherd has chosen Everyone's an Outlaw as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Miguel Shepherd was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremiah Bulldog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Shepherd! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shepherd misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bulldog.
Shepherd wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bulldog lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bulldog. Shepherd jabs Bulldog to the body, keeping him at a distance. Bulldog misses with a double jab
and Shepherd connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shepherd lands with a good body shot. Nice body punch from Shepherd. Bulldog is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shepherd appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Bulldog misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bulldog. Shepherd does a little dance to reset his feet. Bulldog with a poor takedown and Shepherd counters with a nice uppercut. Bulldog is breathing heavily. That looked like it hurt. Shepherd is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bulldog rather than just go for the knockout. Shepherd connects with a looping right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shepherd lands an overhand right. Bulldog has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bulldog there as he acknowledges the shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bulldog throws a combination that misses enabling Shepherd to counter with a crisp jab. Bulldog just misses with a punch to the body.
Shepherd lands a jab-cross combination. Bulldog takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Bulldog ducks right into an uppercut from Shepherd. Bulldog drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Miguel Shepherd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No joy there for Bulldog, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shepherd swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A shot to the liver by Shepherd. Beautiful body shot. Shepherd swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bulldog. Shepherd scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Shepherd counters with a lovely shot to the body. Shepherd uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bulldog has time to react. Bulldog takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bulldog with a poor takedown and Shepherd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shepherd's corner calls for a 1-2. Shepherd obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Shepherd tests Bulldog's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shepherd lands a glancing blow to the side of Bulldog's head. Shepherd is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bulldog had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Shepherd scores with a sloppy right hand. Bulldog should have avoided that one. Shepherd connects with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shepherd blocks a leg kick. Bulldog shoots and misses and Shepherd counters with a nice body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremiah Bulldog. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shepherd lands a nice hook to Bulldog's body. Bulldog takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A right-left combo lands from Shepherd. Bulldog takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Bulldog chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bulldog takes one on the button. Bulldog has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Shepherd finds it's way round the side to connect with Bulldog's head. Bulldog looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bulldog fails in his attempt to clinch. Shepherd moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bulldog misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Shepherd dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jeremiah Bulldog's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Shepherd connects with a single shot there. Shepherd lands a glancing blow to the side of Bulldog's head. Shepherd throws a body shot but no joy. Jeremiah Bulldog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shepherd ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bulldog takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Bulldog pulls out of a head kick attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from Bulldog misses the target. Bulldog tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shepherd paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shepherd doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bulldog takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Shepherd cracks Bulldog with a good jab.

and Shepherd counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Shepherd lands with a shot to the body. Shepherd lands a really nice looking cross but Bulldog seems unphased.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Bulldog might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Shepherd with a nice cross. Shepherd lands with a cross. Shepherd defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bulldog. Shepherd connects with a looping right hand.

Shepherd throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bulldog. It looked like Bulldog was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Bulldog throws a looping overhand right but Shepherd ducks down to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shepherd fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bulldog takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Shepherd has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bulldog moves into the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shepherd wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bulldog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miguel Shepherd seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bulldog throws a lazy right hand but Shepherd sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Shepherd looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shepherd chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bulldog can pounce on him.
Bulldog looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Bulldog lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shepherd circles away quickly and effectively. A jab from Shepherd does it's job there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shepherd scores with a nice strike. Bulldog wants to clinch but Shepherd slips to the side and Shepherd counters with a straight right hand. Shepherd throws a shot to the body.

Bulldog moves away from the strike by Shepherd. Bulldog is looking for a counter combo. Bulldog fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Shepherd on the side of the head. Jeremiah Bulldog is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Bulldog. Shepherd shrugs it off though. Shepherd looks to land a left hand but Bulldog moved out of range nicely. Bulldog throws a solid leg kick but Shepherd takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bulldog. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Shepherd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jeremiah Bulldog's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Shepherd leaves Bulldog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bulldog takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bulldog. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Jab from Shepherd. Bulldog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shepherd tries to avoid it but Bulldog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shepherd to the ground. Shepherd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremiah Bulldog. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Miguel Shepherd decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
