Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kang Min Choi (ranked 3772 p4p, 3842 weight class) and Elijah Tillman (ranked 315 p4p, 316 weight class). Choi comes into the arena with The Cranberries- "Linger" blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kang Min Choi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Elijah Tillman! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tillman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tillman has Choi pressed against the cage, preventing Choi from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Choi wants a takedown but no success here.
Tillman goes for a takedown in the clinch but Choi prevents it.
Tillman displaying some good clinch control by pressing Choi up against the cage. Choi is looking to control Tillman's arms but Tillman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Choi has his back to the cage. A bit of stalling here from Tillman.

Choi is working an open guard so Tillman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Tillman as Choi shoots in. Choi is looking to break free of the clinch but Tillman has double underhooks. Tillman keeps control of Choi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Choi wants to break the clinch but can't.

Choi gets to his feet - Tillman follows without any prompting. Choi with a poor takedown and Tillman counters with a two punch combo. Tillman swats away the attempt to clinch by Choi. Choi closes the distance looking to clinch and Tillman counters with a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Choi goes for a double leg but Tillman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tillman continues to drive forward. Tillman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Choi is defending well. Choi lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tillman kicks off Choi and gets to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tillman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Choi. Tillman with the counter takedown but Choi avoids it easily. Choi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Choi throws a front kick that sends Tillman stumbling back into the cage. Tillman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Tillman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Choi defends it well. Tillman instigates a clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Tillman dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Tillman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Choi. Choi shoots for a takedown but Tillman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tillman goes for a double leg but Choi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Choi continues to drive forward. Choi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tillman sprawls well. Tillman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Choi gets slowly back to his feet. Tillman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Choi defends well and Tillman ends up having to push Choi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Choi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tillman's waist but Tillman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Choi off to one side. Tillman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Choi tries to avoid it but Tillman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Choi to the ground. Choi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Choi looks for the body kick but Tillman saw that one coming. Tillman keeps the fight on the outside. Kang Min Choi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Choi shoots in for a takedown but Tillman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tillman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Choi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tillman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Tillman misses with a kick to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tillman pushes off an throws an elbow but Choi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Tillman stops a takedown attempt from Choi.

Elijah Tillman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Choi moves out of range of the body kick from Tillman.

That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Choi. Tillman steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Choi. Tillman tries to keep at a distance but Choi has taken the fight into the clinch. Choi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Choi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tillman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Choi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Elijah Tillman seems to be getting the better of the standup. Choi tries to clinch up but Tillman circles away and keeps his distance. Choi cracks Tillman with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Tillman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Choi throws a hook to the side of Tillman's head but Tillman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Choi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tillman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Choi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Choi throwing strikes but missing. Choi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Tillman wants to land a leg kick but Choi is out of range. Tillman stuffs the takedown attempt from Choi. Choi gets slowly back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tillman shoots in for a double leg but Choi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Choi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tillman tries to avoid it but Choi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tillman to the ground. Tillman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kang Min Choi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Elijah Tillman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Choi lands a nice shot that snaps Tillman's head back.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Elijah Tillman. Well Tillman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
