Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rey Ross (ranked 4113 p4p, 2574 weight class) and Nirmal Singh (ranked 327 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rey Ross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nirmal Singh! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Singh is stalling here.
Singh prevents the takedown attempt.
Ross goes for a takedown attempt but Singh pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Singh closes the distance and clinches. Singh has Ross pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Singh pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ross tumbling to the mat - Singh dives into Ross's guard. Singh controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Singh is stalling in the full guard. Singh is standing up over Ross. Ross looks to escape but Singh dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Singh tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Ross tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Singh wants to stand but Ross is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Ross's coaches at Shut Up & Train! have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Singh controlling from mount. Ross is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Singh is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ross can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross wants to get back to his feet.
Singh looking to control and managing it successfully. Singh landing strikes from the mount. Singh goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ross is on top in guard.
Ross throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Singh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ross tries to free his leg and advance position but Singh is retaining full guard. Ross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Singh works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ross looking to sit in guard and control but Singh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ross wants to stand but Singh is controlling the position. Singh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ross is looking to stand up but Singh isn't so interested in that idea. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ross scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nirmal Singh dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Singh looks to land a combination but Ross avoids it well. Ross appears to be looking for a big counter. Ross misses with a few strikes there.
Ross tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Singh wants to counter with a clinch but Ross pushes him away. Ross tries a head kick but it misses.
Singh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ross swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rey Ross is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice shot lands for Ross. Ross throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Singh instigates a clinch. Singh drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ross tries to score a body lock takedown but Singh shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ross has hold of one of Singh's legs. Singh is fighting the takedown attempt but Ross gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Singh is on top in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ross is wriggling around but Singh manages to pass to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Singh in particular looking to stall. Singh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ross scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Singh manages to mount him!

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Singh working the ground and pound effectively.
Ross is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Singh is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ross has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ross! Nirmal Singh has got the better of the ground game so far. Singh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ross loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ross missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh has his hands on Ross's head, controlling the position. Ross throwing strikes from guard but Singh blocks nicely. Singh pulls Ross in close to prevent any damage. Singh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ross. Ross postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Singh is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ross won't allow Singh to sweep him here. Ross postures up in Singh's guard and throws a big left but Singh blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Singh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ross drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Singh dives on top into guard. Singh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Singh pushing down on Ross's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ross makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Singh doesn't manage to clinch there - Ross circles away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ross throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Singh moves into range and clinches up with Ross. Singh turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Ross pushes Singh away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Singh gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rey Ross will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Singh avoids the body shot from Ross.
Ross throws a body punch but Singh moves out of range. Ross throws a hook but Singh avoids it easily. Singh showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ross.
Ross lands a nice hook to Singh's body. Singh takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Singh clinches up with Ross and pushes him back against the cage. Ross lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Ross has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ross is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Singh is pressing down on Ross's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Singh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ross. Singh keeping moving, preventing Ross from controlling successfully. Ross is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ross is looking to work some ground and pound but Singh has wrist control.

Singh has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Xtreme Fighting Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Ross throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ross in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Singh is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Singh tries a head kick but it misses.
Singh closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ross quickly recovers to half guard. Ross wants to get back to his feet.
Singh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Singh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ross tries to kick Singh off but Singh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Ross wants to stand back up but Singh manages to pass into side control.
Singh is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ross has escaped the position, nice work there. Ross is looking to get back to his feet here but Singh is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ross's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ross is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Singh is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Ross is trying to stand back up. Singh is looking for the choke from the back position but Ross is controlling his hands well.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nirmal Singh. I think Singh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
