Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kossu Kutvonen (ranked 4658 p4p, 2928 weight class) and Shin Otami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kossu Kutvonen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Otami! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otami shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kutvonen defends it nicely. Otami moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Kutvonen throws a shot to the body.
Kutvonen lands a head shot. Otami misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Otami is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Otami gets caught napping as Kutvonen dives in and scores a takedown. Otami manages to retain guard. Kutvonen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Otami is keeping the position for now. Kutvonen controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutvonen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kutvonen postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kutvonen content to stall in guard here. Kutvonen forces his way into half guard. Kutvonen winds up and cracks Otami with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kutvonen looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kutvonen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kutvonen is thwarting Otami's attempts to control the position. Kutvonen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kutvonen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kutvonen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kutvonen lands strikes from half guard. Kutvonen looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kutvonen lands with a punch from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kutvonen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Otami really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kutvonen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kutvonen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Otami with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kutvonen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Otami trying to control but Kutvonen postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kutvonen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Otami is in trouble now - Kutvonen has advanced to mount! Kutvonen putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Kutvonen unloading with bombs! Kutvonen unloading with bombs!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kutvonen raining down shots from the mount! Otami looks winded! Kutvonen with a couple of short strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kutvonen content just to control the position here. Kutvonen lands a big elbow. Kutvonen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kutvonen raining down shots from the mount! Kutvonen raining down hammerfists from mount.
Otami is rocked! Kutvonen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kutvonen controlling his opponent. Otami is still in real trouble! Can Kutvonen finish him? Kutvonen working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kossu Kutvonen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Kutvonen jabs at Otami's body. Otami seems to have recovered his senses. Kutvonen lands the left hand. Danga de danga de dang - Kutvonen scores with a four punch combination! Otami throws a leg kick that is checked and Kutvonen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Otami moves in looking to clinch but Kutvonen pushes him off. Kutvonen throws a lazy right hand but Otami sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kutvonen feints and as Otami raises his hands in defense, Kutvonen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kutvonen advances position into side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Otami tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Kutvonen looking to control and managing it successfully. Kutvonen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutvonen working Otami over with strikes here. Kutvonen controlling from mount. Otami is bucking up trying to escape but Kutvonen cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kossu Kutvonen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kutvonen in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Kutvonen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Otami is breathing heavily. Kutvonen landing strikes from the mount and Otami is in trouble! Kutvonen content just to control the position here. Kutvonen is landing with some decent strikes but Otami is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kutvonen fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kutvonen raining down hammerfists from mount. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Otami taking shots to the head. Kutvonen lands a nice shot to the head. Kutvonen controlling from the full mount. Kutvonen lands a big elbow. Kutvonen dominating with strikes here. Kutvonen looking to finish Otami with some ground and pound. This is bad for Otami! Kutvonen looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Otami covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
