The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.

Mack closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Singleton did well to prevent Mack getting side control.

Mack wants to take a breather but Singleton is having none of it.

Mack tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Singleton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Mack is trying to control Singleton's posture but Singleton avoids it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mack is looking to regain half guard here but Singleton keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Mack is looking for a sweep.

Singleton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mack has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Singleton is working away from the top position though.

Mack wants to hold on but Singleton pushes him away.
Singleton controlling the pace for now.
Mack is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Singleton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mack can't escape the position.
Singleton seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mack is holding on tight.
Singleton tries to control but Mack wriggling away.
Mack is trying desperately to improve position.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round.
Mack wants to control but Singleton is having none of it.
Singleton sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Singleton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mack for as long as he can get away with.
Singleton with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Singleton controlling the position easily from mount.
Mack wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Singleton keeps control of the position as Mack tries to break free.
Mack is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Singleton has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Mack has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Singleton.
