Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Banton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Blake! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banton checks a low kick from Blake. Banton is looking for a counter combo. Blake throws a low kick, looking for Banton's leg but Banton calmly moves out of range. Banton connects with a single shot there. Blake looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Banton appears to be looking for a big counter. Nice uppercut there from Banton. Blake on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Banton wants to clinch up but Blake keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banton fails with the takedown. Blake tries a quick counter leg kick but Banton is wise to it. Blake drives through and clinches with Banton against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blake with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Blake using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Banton has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Banton is defending well against a takedown attempt. Blake wants a takedown.

Blake lands a knee to the body.
Banton is trying to break the clinch but Blake has him pressed against the cage. Banton tries to pull guard but Blake forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Blake misses with a knee strike.
Blake gets a trip takedown into half guard. Banton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blake is working away from the top position though. Banton wants to get back to his feet. Banton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Blake takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Banton throws a series of punches but Blake avoids them all with ease. Banton moves out of range as Blake throws a body kick.
Blake tries to land a body kick letting Banton counter with a right hand. Blake takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Blake finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Banton's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Blake falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Banton! After the fight, Jimmy Banton was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
