Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brenden Hickman (ranked 3039 p4p, 3198 weight class) and Mitchell Beasley (ranked 260 p4p, 268 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Beasley's choice of entrance music: Welcome to Brixton. Brenden Hickman is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brenden Hickman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mitchell Beasley! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hickman fails with the takedown. Beasley throws out a counter right but Hickman avoids it with no problem. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hickman. Hickman darts in looking for a takedown but Beasley gets double underhooks and turns Hickman into the cage. Beasley throws out a counter right but Hickman avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brenden Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hickman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Beasley scores with a jab to the jaw. Beasley throws an overhand right that lands on Hickman's shoulder, as Hickman tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beasley scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hickman in his tracks. Beasley throws a big shot that misses. Hickman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Beasley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hickman. Beasley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beasley getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hickman closes the distance and clinches up with Beasley, looking for a takedown. Hickman pushes Beasley against the cage but Beasley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Beasley misses with a hook. Hickman ducked under it nicely. Beasley throws out a loose jab but Hickman uses good head movement to avoid it. Beasley connects with a right hand. Hickman shakes it off. Beasley misses with a hook. Hickman ducked under it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hickman is looking to advance position but Beasley won't allow it. Hickman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beasley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Beasley is trying to stand up here but Hickman is controlling him well. Hickman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Beasley manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hickman keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Beasley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hickman jumps guard but Beasley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hickman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beasley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Beasley can't break the clinch.
Hickman tightens his grip and picks Beasley up, before dumping him to the ground. Beasley manages to land in guard. Beasley kicks Hickman off and gets to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hickman with a lazy takedown attempt and Hickman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Beasley throws a hook but Hickman avoids it easily. Brenden Hickman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beasley keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mitchell Beasley dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Hickman misses with a takedown attempt and Beasley counters with a stiff right hand. Hickman with a lazy takedown attempt and Beasley counters with a nice uppercut. Beasley has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Hickman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beasley sprawls well. Beasley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hickman gets slowly back to his feet. Beasley throws out a counter right but Hickman avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brenden Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Hickman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beasley is trying to stand back up but Hickman is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman wants to work for an arm triangle but Beasley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hickman trying to mount his opponent but Beasley defends it. Beasley has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Beasley is trying to stand back up but Hickman is controlling him
Hickman seems to be working for a kimura but Beasley defends the submission attempt. Beasley pushes Hickman off looking to stand but Hickman dives back in and keeps control.
Beasley won't allow Hickman to pass to mount. Beasley wants to get back to his feet. Hickman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Beasley! Beasley is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Hickman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Beasley is surviving well by controlling Hickman's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beasley trying desperately to get to his feet.
Beasley tries to buck Hickman off so he can stand up but Hickman has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Beasley falls backwards, slamming Hickman to the mat but Hickman holds on tight! Beasley is forced to tap and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Brenden Hickman! Mitchell Beasley was interviewed post fight and said 'Unlucky...good submission mate'.
