Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xzavier Jacobs (ranked 2710 p4p, 2696 weight class) and Jun Li (ranked 326 p4p, 322 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xzavier Jacobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jun Li! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Li to the mat! Li manages to get full guard. Li working a defensive guard here.
Jacobs won't allow Li to sweep him here. Li managing to control the position. Jacobs is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Li managing to control the position. Li is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacobs stands and throws Li's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jacobs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Li struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jacobs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Li is trying to control Jacobs's posture but Jacobs avoids it. Jacobs tries for a kimura but Li is defending well. Li is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Li prevents Jacobs from moving into mount. You can see the frustration on Li's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jacobs landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Li sneaks back into half guard. Jacobs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Li with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Li is trying to maintain the position but Jacobs is very close to passing his half guard. Jacobs throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Li trying to control here.
Jacobs slips a nice elbow through Li's hands, connecting with Li's forehead. Li trying to control but Jacobs postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Li can do anything to dispel that myth. Jacobs is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Li sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Li keeping control of the position. Li trying to control from the bottom.
Li tries to get to full guard but Jacobs has control of the leg. Jacobs is trying for a kimura here. Li looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jacobs wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Xzavier Jacobs! Post fight, Xzavier Jacobs stared into the camera and said 'Thanks for giving me this opportunity Billy bobit before I fight for the title I'll give someone else the chance I want to improve my resume and fight jump Nelson first if that is fine WHO WANTS TO SEE THAT if he wins his fight'.
