Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Bjornsson (ranked 446 p4p, 1000 weight class) and Robbie Shakespeare (ranked 56 p4p, 129 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 31 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Eddie Bjornsson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie Shakespeare! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good shot there by Shakespeare.
It looks like Eddie Bjornsson has been cut. Shakespeare with a nice cross. Shakespeare swinging wildly here.
Bjornsson scores with a nice head shot. A telegraphed right hand from Shakespeare misses the target. Bjornsson dives in for a single leg takedown but Shakespeare sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Shakespeare's face as he tries to break the clinch. Shakespeare gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bjornsson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bjornsson has Shakespeare pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bjornsson distracts Shakespeare with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Shakespeare has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bjornsson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Bjornsson swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Bjornsson tries for a kimura but Shakespeare is defending well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Shakespeare stops Bjornsson from passing to mount. Shakespeare tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bjornsson was well out of range. Poor timing from Shakespeare. Bjornsson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Shakespeare's coach down at The Purpose Martial Arts Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shakespeare's balance.
