The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lover throws a left and a right that both miss
and Benvinucci Jr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Benvinucci Jr.
Benvinucci Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Lover is retaining full guard.
Benvinucci Jr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lover, up you get!
Benvinucci Jr swats away the attempt to clinch by Lover.
Lover moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Lover wanted to stand there but Benvinucci Jr had control of the position.

Benvinucci Jr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lover manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lover utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Benvinucci Jr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Benvinucci Jr is nestled in close to Lover, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Benvinucci Jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Lover is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Benvinucci Jr is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lover has managed to free his arm - good work.

Benvinucci Jr wants to pass to mount but Lover is defending the position.

Benvinucci Jr throws a right and a left that Lover avoids nicely.
Benvinucci Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lover to the mat! Lover manages to get full guard.
Lover has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Benvinucci Jr has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Benvinucci Jr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Benvinucci Jr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lover jabs Benvinucci Jr right on the nose. Benvinucci Jr blinks but takes it well.
Lover connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Benvinucci Jr to the floor! Lover dives in looking for the finish!

A close round but Gunt Lover will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lover leaves Benvinucci Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tony Benvinucci Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lover cracks Benvinucci Jr with a big right hand and Benvinucci Jr goes down!

Lover wants to stand and escape but instead Benvinucci Jr has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Lover is working an open guard so Benvinucci Jr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Lover clinches with his opponent.
Benvinucci Jr pulls guard successfully.
Lover preventing the sweep.
Lover decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Benvinucci Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lover manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Despite the aggression on Lover's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Benvinucci Jr has a takedown stuffed.
Benvinucci Jr sets himself, and Lover steps forward looking for the clinch! Benvinucci Jr avoids it this time.

Lover lands with a big right hook that stumbles Benvinucci Jr - he's out on his feet here! Lover follows up with another monster hook that separates Benvinucci Jr from consciousness! Benvinucci Jr falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Lover stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gunt Lover!
Gunt Lover spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
