Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Potter (ranked 1192 p4p, 820 weight class) and Larry LeFell (ranked 145 p4p, 102 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Larry LeFell! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LeFell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Potter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten LeFell somewhat. We've been told by Potter's head coaches at Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The fighters circling - Potter throws out the jab but it was never going to land. LeFell shoots in for a takedown but Potter shows good takedown defense. Potter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before LeFell has time to react. Larry LeFell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Potter lunges at LeFell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by LeFell's hand. LeFell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Potter connects with a good right hand that stumbles LeFell. LeFell circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Excellent takedown into side control there by LeFell. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Potter is trying to get back to half guard. Potter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Potter tries to get out of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potter is not content to let LeFell control the position. Potter tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter is trying to buck LeFell off. You can see the frustration on Potter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. LeFell trying to control the position but Potter is working away. Potter is looking for a sweep. LeFell just content to control the position. Potter is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Potter is not content to let LeFell control the position. LeFell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Potter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. LeFell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. You can see the frustration on Potter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. LeFell wants to control but Potter is keeping him busy. Potter regains half guard. Potter tries to kick LeFell off but LeFell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Potter is refusing to be controlled, as LeFell sits in half guard. LeFell blocks the strikes from Potter.
Potter is looking to escape. LeFell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. LeFell controlling the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. LeFell fails to land the takedown. Scott Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry LeFell. LeFell looks to land a right hand but Potter moved out of range. LeFell shoots in looking for a takedown. Potter tries to sprawl out of it but LeFell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Potter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Potter cracks LeFell with a good jab. Potter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Larry LeFell has been cut. Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
LeFell throws a lazy right hand but Potter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Potter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Scott Potter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Potter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as LeFell throws out the jab. LeFell misses with a hook. LeFell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Potter as he jumps to the side. LeFell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Potter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten LeFell somewhat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. LeFell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Potter connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Potter throws a hook but LeFell blocks it. And LeFell tries to counter it with a takedown but Potter pushes his down on his head and steps out. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Potter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Larry LeFell's cut. That's time! Back to the action! LeFell throws a hook but Potter avoids it easily. An attempted straight right counter from Potter misses the target. LeFell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Potter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
LeFell closes the distance but Potter moves to the side and Potter counters with a straight right hand. Potter stuffs the takedown attempt from LeFell. LeFell gets slowly back to his feet. Scott Potter is winning the standup battle so far. Potter throws a body punch but LeFell moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potter fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Potter slips under a jab. LeFell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Scott Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry LeFell. LeFell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potter is fending him off so far but LeFell persists. Nope, Potter circles away and we're back to standing. LeFell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. LeFell has his takedown stuffed and LeFell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from LeFell. LeFell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potter is fending him off so far but LeFell persists. Nope, Potter circles away and we're back to standing. LeFell with a lazy takedown attempt and Potter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. LeFell is breathing heavily. LeFell takes a shot right to the bread basket. LeFell tries to clinch but Potter moves away and Potter counters with a crisp right hand that drops LeFell! Potter lets LeFell back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
LeFell is rocked! LeFell fails with the takedown and Potter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps LeFell thinking. LeFell is still on wobbly legs! Can Potter finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Potter cracks LeFell with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends LeFell tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Potter pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! LeFell is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Potter! Scott Potter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
