This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 2 losses; Ceasar Rules! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 31 wins and 38 losses; Dragon Li Chai! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Rules shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Rules (2) vs (0) Chai Chai tries to get to full guard but Rules has control of the leg. Rules looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Chai wants to control but Rules is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chai tries to get to full guard but Rules has control of the leg. Chai trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if Rules is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Chai is trying to control but can't.
Rules takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Chai is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rules is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Chai is looking for a sweep. Rules is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chai trying to control from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chai moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Chai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rules is one step ahead there. Chai seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Rules trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rules stays in close to Chai's body and controls the position. Rules passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rules slows the pace down in half guard. Chai moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Rules controlling from the top position. Chai seems keen to control Rules's posture.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Chai looking to control.
Rules is stalling in the full guard. We've been hearing good reports from Rules's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Rules seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chai for as long as he can get away with. Rules has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Chai seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Rules sitting in guard here, content to control. Chai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chai is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Chai has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Rules stays in close to Chai's body and controls the position.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Chai pulls Rules in close to his closed guard and prevents Rules from doing any damage or advancing position. Rules controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Chai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rules will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Rules seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Chai looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Chai is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rules advances position into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Rules (5) vs (0) Chai Chai tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rules wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. A lull in the action here as Rules stalls from top position.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Chai is trying to control Rules's posture but Rules avoids it. Rules is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chai will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Chai is trying to improve his position.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Rules is staying tight to Chai's torso, preventing him from escaping. Rules's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Further stalling from Rules.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Rules is stinking the place up with his stalling. Chai is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chai is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rules off and has taken his back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Rules (5) vs (4) Chai
