Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Paulius Zurauskas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 26 - 0, fighting out of London, Tu Barrels!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrels throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barrels throws a head kick that misses.
Zurauskas throws a series of punches but Barrels avoids them all with ease.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barrels! But no joy.
Zurauskas clinches.
Zurauskas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barrels just misses with a punch to the body.
The fighters circling - Barrels throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zurauskas is looking to counter punch.
Tu Barrels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barrels misses with a body shot.
Barrels throws a sloppy body shot
and Zurauskas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Tu Barrels has been cut.
Zurauskas walks into a jab.
Barrels loads up on a big right hand but Zurauskas slips the punch.
Barrels uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zurauskas.
Barrels walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Zurauskas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barrels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zurauskas cracks Barrels with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Barrels tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Zurauskas pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Barrels is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulius Zurauskas!
A relieved looking Paulius Zurauskas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
