Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darren Tolbert (ranked 3504 p4p, 5144 weight class) and Tyson King (ranked 282 p4p, 338 weight class). Darren Tolbert is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darren Tolbert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson King!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tolbert as he jumps to the side.
It looked like Tolbert wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Tolbert throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tolbert counters with a nice uppercut.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tolbert but Tolbert pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Darren Tolbert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson King.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tolbert shoots in and bounces King off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tolbert. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tolbert's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
King throws an elbow that misses. Tolbert uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in King's guard. Nice move by Tolbert!

Tolbert slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tolbert takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Tolbert stalling away here and it's allowed King to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tolbert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tolbert chips away with some ground and pound.
King has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
