The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Platts looks to land a left hand but Nurmaganopussy moved out of range nicely.
Platts fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Platts misses with a jab to the body
and Nurmaganopussy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nurmaganopussy.
Nurmaganopussy has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Platts regains guard immediately.
Nurmaganopussy controls from within his opponent's guard.
Nurmaganopussy chips away with some ground and pound.
Nurmaganopussy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Platts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nurmaganopussy stands and throws Platts's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nurmaganopussy is working to tighten his grip on Platts's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Platts has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nurmaganopussy is really squeezing tight and eventually Platts passes out! Nurmaganopussy breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
