Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cody Beair (ranked 25259 p4p, 3830 weight class) and William Lowry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beair comes to the cage accompanied by We Will Rock You. Cody Beair could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to William Lowry's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cody Beair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William Lowry! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lowry dives in for a single leg takedown but Beair sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Beair looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Lowry closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Beair's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lowry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lowry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Beair to the ground. Lowry is now in Beair's guard. Lowry trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Beair is trying to control the position but Lowry postures up. Lowry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lowry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lowry is looking to work some ground and pound but Beair has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lowry postures up in Beair's guard and throws a big left but Beair blocks it. Lowry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lowry sitting in guard here, content to control. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lowry closes the distance and clinches up with Beair, looking for a takedown. Lowry pushes Beair against the cage but Beair circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lowry's jab looks to have found its range, popping Beair under the eye. Let's hope that Lowry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lowry is on top in guard.

Lowry gets to his feet - Beair follows without any prompting. Lowry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beair but Beair pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lowry has a takedown stuffed. Lowry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beair pinned against the cage. Beair gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Lowry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beair as he jumps to the side. Beair attempts a counter takedown but Lowry avoids it well and moves away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Beair takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
William Lowry dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Beair wants to slow Lowry down by chopping away at his legs. Beair dives in and grabs Lowry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lowry pushes down on Beair's head and hops out. Beair blocks a head kick by Lowry.
Lowry fails with the takedown. Beair attempts a counter takedown but Lowry avoids it well and moves away. Lowry throws a sloppy head kick and Beair moves out of range easily. Beair throws a big counter combination but Lowry scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Lowry fails to land the takedown. Beair appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beair goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lowry has been the more effective fighter overall so far. It connects and Beair has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lowry goes for a double leg but Beair avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Beair continues to drive forward. Beair seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Beair dives in and grabs Lowry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lowry pushes down on Beair's head and hops out.

Lowry throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. William Lowry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lowry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Beair sprawls well. Beair wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lowry gets slowly back to his feet. Beair seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Beair is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lowry dives in and grabs Beair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beair pushes down on Lowry's head and hops out. Lowry tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beair swivels and escapes. Lowry has a takedown stuffed. Cody Beair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lowry wants to hit a sweep here but Beair passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lowry there! Beair looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
