Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ashi Garami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lars Gunnar Ekberg!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekberg closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garami circles away.
Ekberg throws a jab but it's blocked by Garami.
No luck for Ekberg with that takedown attempt.
Garami drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ekberg sprawls and moves away.
Garami shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ekberg's guard.

Ekberg shoots in looking for a takedown. Garami tries to sprawl out of it but Ekberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Garami manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ekberg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garami sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ekberg somewhat.
Ekberg stalks Garami and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Garami's face. Garami staggers backwards, shaken.

Garami is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ekberg is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Garami to the mat. Garami regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ekberg working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Garami has his feet on Ekberg's thighs here. He's pushed Ekberg off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ekberg screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
