And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gunt Jernit!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ben Hemmingworth and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jernit looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Gunt Jernit has been cut.
Jernit fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bauweraerts lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bauweraerts misses with a hook
and Jernit counters with a three punch combo that has Bauweraerts backing up. Bauweraerts nods at Jernit to acknowledge the strikes.
Jernit throws a hook but Bauweraerts blocks it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jernit lands a nice hook to Bauweraerts's body. Bauweraerts takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bauweraerts is defended easily by Jernit.

As Jernit looks to move away, Bauweraerts throws a big counter combo but Jernit just gets out of the way.

Gunt Jernit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bauweraerts was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

A looping hook to the body misses from Jernit. Bauweraerts does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gunt Jernit is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jernit fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bauweraerts manages to avoid it.
Jernit scoring well with a low kick there.

Bauweraerts cracks Jernit with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bauweraerts shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jernit counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bauweraerts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bauweraerts's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jernit connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bauweraerts scrambles back to his feet.
Bauweraerts is rocked!
Bauweraerts takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Oh Bauweraerts is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jernit cracks Bauweraerts with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bauweraerts tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jernit pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bauweraerts is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunt Jernit!
