Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryun Sang Min (ranked 25021 p4p, 4972 weight class) and Ben Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 475 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryun Sang Min!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Everett!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sang Min throws a head kick but Everett moves out of range.
Sang Min closes the distance and clinches up with Everett, looking for a takedown. Sang Min pushes Everett against the cage but Everett circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sang Min doesn't manage to clinch there - Everett circles away.
Everett darts in looking for a takedown but Sang Min gets double underhooks and turns Everett into the cage.

Everett moves into the clinch successfully.

Everett has hold of one of Sang Min's legs. Sang Min is fighting the takedown attempt but Everett gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Everett stays in close to Sang Min's body and controls the position.
Sang Min not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett trying to control but Sang Min is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Everett tries to escape but Sang Min has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Sang Min has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Everett has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Sang Min is trying to stick to Everett's back but Everett is turning into Sang Min. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sang Min's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Everett.
Everett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Everett trying to control the position from guard on top but Sang Min is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sang Min wants to stand and escape but Everett is having none of it.
Sang Min trying to keep a closed guard but Everett is proving a slippery customer.
Sang Min is really struggling to control Everett but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Sang Min on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sang Min tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Everett with a flurry of punches that miss.
Everett must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sang Min has a closed guard, preventing Everett from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sang Min keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sang Min darts in looking for a takedown but Everett gets double underhooks and turns Sang Min into the cage.
Sang Min is working for takedown but Everett is calmly controlling the position for now.

Everett is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Everett prevents the takedown attempt.

With the fighters up against the cage, Everett throws an elbow but misses.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Everett tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sang Min manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As Everett looks to move away, Sang Min throws a big counter combo but Everett just gets out of the way.
Everett shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sang Min pinned against the cage. Sang Min gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As Everett tries to get set, Sang Min tries to push him back and clinch up but Everett manages to avoid the attempt.
Everett is looking to clinch.

Everett drives through with a takedown into Sang Min's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Everett wants to control from the top but Sang Min keeps moving.
Everett has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Everett is looking to stand up but Sang Min won't let him.

Everett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sang Min stacks Everett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sang Min!
Everett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sang Min wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sang Min connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Everett some visible discomfort.

Sang Min tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Sang Min is looking to take a break and control but Everett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Everett is looking for a sweep.
Everett looks to move to half guard but instead Sang Min has passed into mount! Damn!
Everett really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Sang Min lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Sang Min trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Sang Min connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That has opened up Ben Everett's cut even more.
Everett is trying to reverse the position but instead Sang Min has taken his back - oops!

Everett is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Sang Min is looking for the choke from the back position but Everett is controlling his hands well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Everett throws a head kick but Sang Min moves out of range.
Sang Min changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Sang Min shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Everett but Everett pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sang Min shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Everett napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Everett tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sang Min presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Everett keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Everett tries to control Sang Min's body but Sang Min pushes him off. Everett squirms to his side and now Sang Min has his back!
Sang Min has the hooks in. Everett is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Sang Min doesn't have the hooks in and Everett manages to turn into his guard.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Sang Min here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Sang Min pulls Everett in close to his closed guard and prevents Everett from doing any damage or advancing position.
Everett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sang Min swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Everett is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sang Min is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sang Min has escaped and now he's on top!

Everett looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Everett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sang Min lands a couple of elbows.
Sang Min wants to pass the guard but Everett is keeping the position.

Everett is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sang Min connects with a couple of short punches.
Sang Min wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.

Sang Min trying to stand up but can't free himself from Everett's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Everett stuffs the takedown attempt from Sang Min. Sang Min gets slowly back to his feet.
Everett with the counter takedown but Sang Min avoids it easily.
Sang Min tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Everett defends well and Sang Min ends up having to push Everett into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryun Sang Min. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Everett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Everett tries to clinch up but Sang Min circles away and keeps his distance.
Sang Min appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Everett blocks a head kick by Sang Min.
As Sang Min backs off Everett throws a huge counter combo but Sang Min manages to avoid it all.

Everett clinches up with Sang Min and pushes him back against the cage.
Everett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sang Min smiles and moves away.

Everett wants to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryun Sang Min.
I think Sang Min has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
