And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 118 wins and 55 losses; Pacer Dalton! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Dalton tries to sprawl but Okoroji drives through with a takedown into half guard. Okoroji is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Dalton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! It looks like Dalton might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Okoroji takes the fight on points by 18 to 10. After winning the bout, Yakubu Okoroji thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. |
