Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Gibbs (ranked 1956 p4p, 2992 weight class) and Ben Boone (ranked 131 p4p, 174 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boone's choice of entrance music: Here Comes the Boom. On his way into the cage it seems that Gunner Gibbs has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gunner Gibbs seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunner Gibbs!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Boone!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs shoots and misses
and Boone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Boone scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Boone lands with a nice body punch.
Boone shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boone is working for a submission of some sort.
Gibbs tries to kick Boone off but Boone keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gibbs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gibbs has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Boone has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Boone goes for a takedown attempt but Gibbs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gibbs connects with a nice short shot to Boone's temple.

Boone stalks Gibbs and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gibbs's face. Gibbs staggers backwards, shaken.
Gibbs throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boone was covering up waiting for the punch and Gibbs finishes the takedown easily into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gunner Gibbs will probably get the nod.
