Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bronson Cobb (ranked 2509 p4p, 2888 weight class) and Matteo Ruffy (ranked 231 p4p, 260 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bronson Cobb!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matteo Ruffy!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruffy rushes Cobb and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ruffy lands a right hand.
Ruffy lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Ruffy pushes Cobb back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Cobb has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ruffy after a bit of a struggle.
Ruffy scores with a hook to the body.
Cobb has Ruffy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ruffy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ruffy is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bronson Cobb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ruffy gets through Cobb's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Cobb is trying to pull guard but Ruffy has him pressed against the cage.

Cobb is rocked!
Ruffy digs a right hand into Cobb's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cobb's gas tank.
Oh Cobb is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cobb is breathing heavily.
Ruffy misses with some punches.
Cobb seems to have got his legs back now.
Ruffy working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Ruffy digs a right hand underneath Cobb's ribcage. Cobb let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Cobb is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
A nice right hand lands inside from Ruffy.

Ruffy lands a shoulder strike.
Ruffy stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Ruffy creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Cobb with a big uppercut! Cobb tries to clinch up but Ruffy pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Cobb to the mat! Cobb covers up and Ruffy unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Matteo Ruffy!
