Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Ramirez (ranked 3132 p4p, 3166 weight class) and Mukhtar Mihailovic (ranked 362 p4p, 365 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mukhtar Mihailovic!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez throws a right and a left that Mihailovic avoids nicely.
Mihailovic feints the counter takedown.
Mihailovic shoots in but Ramirez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mihailovic avoids the head kick by Ramirez.
Mihailovic looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Ramirez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rafael Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mihailovic shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez shows good takedown defense.

Mihailovic drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mihailovic jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mihailovic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mihailovic is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramirez defends well.

and Mihailovic counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ramirez won't be happy with that.

Mihailovic looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Ramirez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Mihailovic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mihailovic lands in his opponent's guard.

Mihailovic wants to control from the top but Ramirez keeps moving.

Mihailovic drops back looking for a leg! Ramirez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramirez manages to kick Mihailovic off! Mihailovic jumps back into Ramirez's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ramirez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mihailovic, up you get!

Ramirez tries to clinch up but Mihailovic circles away and keeps his distance.

As Mihailovic looks to move away, Ramirez throws a big counter combo but Mihailovic just gets out of the way.

Ramirez cracks Mihailovic with an open hand slap.

Mihailovic drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Mihailovic is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ramirez is trying to maintain the position but Mihailovic is very close to passing his half guard.

Ramirez feints a jab promting Mihailovic to slip. Ramirez then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mihailovic slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rafael Ramirez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mihailovic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mihailovic tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Rafael Ramirez is winning the standup battle so far.

Ramirez throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ramirez scores with a nice head shot.
Ramirez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And Mihailovic tries to counter it with a takedown but Ramirez pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mihailovic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ramirez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mihailovic is looking to work some ground and pound but Ramirez has wrist control.

Mihailovic has gone for a leg lock! Ramirez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mihailovic's guard.

Mihailovic tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ramirez wants to stand but Mihailovic has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ramirez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mihailovic is working an open guard so Ramirez takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

And Mihailovic tries to counter it with a takedown but Ramirez pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Mihailovic drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ramirez dives on top into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rafael Ramirez.
I think Ramirez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
