Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roger Sack (ranked 1838 p4p, 2389 weight class) and August Cooke (ranked 190 p4p, 242 weight class). Sack kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DaBobby - BOP in Arlen. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Sack! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, August Cooke! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooke swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sack rushes Cooke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cooke tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sack's elbow. Cooke tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sack's elbow. Sack has had enough of the clinch but Cooke keeps him there for the moment. Cooke's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Sack manages to break the clinch.
Sack swings for the body but Cooke moves out of range.
Sack throws a body shot but no joy. Sack displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cooke throws out the jab. Cooke throws a right hand that Sack ducks under and follows up with a left that Sack also avoids with ease. A shot to the liver by Sack. Beautiful body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sack swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sack throws a head kick that misses and Cooke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Cooke ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Cooke avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sack moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sack connects with a jab. Sack forces Cooke back against the cage and clinches. Cooke tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Cooke lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sack. Sack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cooke thows a left - swing and a miss! Cooke misses with a straight right. Sack looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sack's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cooke under the eye. Roger Sack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sack lands with a hook. Cooke tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Sack connects with a body shot that sends Cooke's belly button to the back. Cooke looks to land a right hand but Sack moved out of range. Cooke scores with a punch to the head. Sack throws a head kick that misses. Cooke swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Cooke scores with a sloppy right hand. Sack should have avoided that one. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sack swings widly with a right hand
and Cooke makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Cooke takes one on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sack scores with a nice body kick.
The crowd cheers as Sack lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cooke doesn't seem phased though. Cooke connects with a single shot there. A jab from Sack misses. A big right from Cooke misses. Sack thumps Cooke with a low kick. Sack swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sack throws a sloppy head kick and Cooke moves out of range easily. Sack uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cooke. Sack throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Roger Sack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sack slips under a jab from Cooke. Sack throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Cooke looks like he wants to counter punch here. A decent looking body kick lands there for Sack. Sack lands a jab to the nose.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooke misses with a right hand and Sack counters with a low kick, right behind Cooke 's knee. Cooke swings for the body but Sack moves out of range.
Cooke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sack.
Sack moves out of range of the strikes. Sack looks for the body kick but Cooke saw that one coming. Cooke throws a big shot that misses. Sack misses with a body kick. Sack fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sack slips under a jab. Cooke takes a swing at Sack's ribcage but misses. Sack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooke moves away. Cooke looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cooke misses with a body shot.
Sack throws a push kick but Cooke slaps the foot to one side. Sloppy strikes from Sack. Those never looked like landing. Cooke misses with a wild body shot. Sack fires out a quick counter leg kick but Cooke just manages to avoid it. Sack digs a good body shot into Cooke's ribs. Cooke has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Cooke jabs at Sack's body. Sack looks for the body kick but Cooke saw that one coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cooke misses with a body shot.
Sack throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cooke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sack pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Cooke now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Jab from Sack. Sack throws a half hearted mid kick. Sack tries to land a front kick but Cooke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sack misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cooke.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Sack dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Sack scores with a head kick. Cooke tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Sack throws a chopping leg kick but Cooke manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Sack misses with a low kick.
Sack lands a jab to Cooke's midsection. Cooke checks a leg kick nicely. Cooke is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Sack with a body shot. Sack is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cooke can do to turn this around? A shot to the body from Sack misses and Cooke counters with a stiff right hand. Cooke throws a body shot but no joy. Sack throws a counter high kick but Cooke was just alert enough to avoid it. Sack throws a half hearted mid kick. It seemed like Cooke was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooke. Cooke misses the jab. Sack on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sack lands a right hook to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Cooke 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sack misses with a straight left. A looping hook to the body misses from Sack. Cooke does a little dance to reset his feet. A clash of legs there as Cooke blocks the low kick. Sack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooke. Cooke throws a body punch but Sack moves out of range. Sack connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cooke. Cooke circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Sack misses with a right hand and Cooke cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sack misses with a wild body shot. Sack chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sack looks to land a right hand but Cooke moved out of range. It seemed like Cooke was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sack with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cooke throws a body punch but Sack moves out of range. Cooke jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sack misses with a wild body shot. Sack throws a body kick, spinning off balance enabling Cooke to counter with a crisp jab. Cooke with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sack to score with a decent uppercut. Cooke avoids the body shot from Sack.
Sack sizes up Cooke with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cooke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cooke misses with an uppercut. Sack saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooke dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Sack throws a leg kick which misses Cooke's front leg but catches the back leg as Cooke tries to avoid it. Sack throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A countering left hand to the body from Cooke misses. Cooke drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Sack explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Sack scores with a jab to the body. Sack lands with an uppercut that bounces Cooke off the cage and back into range. Donk. Sack catches Cooke right on the button with a cross. Sack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cooke manages to avoid it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cooke! But no joy. Sack tries to clinch there but Cooke circles away.

Sack throws a hook to the side of Cooke's head but Cooke sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Roger Sack is winning the standup battle so far. Cooke avoids the body shot from Sack.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cooke! But no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sack misses the jab. Sack darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice shot lands for Sack. Sack looks to throw a body kick and Cooke counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Cooke digs a good hook to Sack's body.

Sack gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cooke takes a knee to the side of the body. Sack lands with a short shot to the head. Cooke tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Cooke blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sack manages to break the clinch.
Sack misses with a low kick. Sack throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sack takes one on the chin but seems OK.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Sack dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Sack throws a front kick that sends Cooke stumbling back into the cage. Cooke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sack. Sack throws the kick towards the body but Cooke avoids it. Cooke now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Cooke avoids a kick to the body.
Cooke closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sack quickly recovers to half guard. Sack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sack tries to get out of the position. Sack is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cooke scores with a couple of nice shots. Sack looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cooke takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Cooke is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Sack is rocked! Cooke lands with a punch from half guard. Oh Sack is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cooke creates some space for himself and unloads with a monster right hand! That one landed with a sickening thud - Sack is out cold and this one is all over! Cooke climbs onto the cage to celebrate with his corner!! He's shouting something into the camera but he's still got his mouthpiece in so God knows what he's actually saying.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). August Cooke! August Cooke is the new lightweight champion!
