Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerome Carmont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gento Watkins!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watkins shoots in for a takedown but Carmont shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Watkins fails to land with a series of punches.
Watkins walks into a stiff left hand from Carmont.
Watkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Watkins looks winded!
Watkins closes the distance and clinches up with Carmont, looking for a takedown. Watkins pushes Carmont against the cage but Carmont circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Watkins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Carmont slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Carmont moves into the clinch successfully.
Carmont turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carmont advances to full mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carmont working for a guillotine from mount but Watkins is in no mood to give up.
Carmont cracks Watkins with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carmont scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Watkins?
Watkins is rocked!
Carmont postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Watkins badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Carmont around the waist but Carmont pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Carmont is the winner by TKO! Carmont jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerome Carmont!
