Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ishaq Al Hamidi (ranked 3742 p4p, 4809 weight class) and Feilong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ishaq Al Hamidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Feilong Li!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Hamidi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Li defends it nicely.

Al Hamidi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li has his hands clasped together around Al Hamidi's back. He's all about the action.
Al Hamidi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Li is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Li is staying active underneath Al Hamidi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Al Hamidi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Li is now in Al Hamidi's guard. A big mistake from Al Hamidi there, giving up the dominant position!
Li chips away with some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Li accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Li must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Li lands a couple of elbows.
Li is in close to Al Hamidi's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Li looking to sit in guard and control but Al Hamidi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Li wants to sweep but no luck.
Our spies down at at Sanda Wushu Kung Fu Gym inform us that Li has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Li escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Al Hamidi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Li is trying to keep Al Hamidi in close.
Li is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Al Hamidi content to stall in guard here.
Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Al Hamidi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ishaq Al Hamidi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Li shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Al Hamidi's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Li feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Al Hamidi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Li can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Li working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Li connects with a nice short shot to Al Hamidi's temple.

The crowd goes nuts as Li knocks Al Hamidi out cold with a massive hammerfist! Li Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Feilong Li!
A relieved looking Feilong Li thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
