Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jetstream Sam (ranked 4031 p4p, 4895 weight class) and Lamar Louis (ranked 438 p4p, 488 weight class). Louis has chosen Bleach OST - BL_86 as his entrance music. Jetstream Sam is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jetstream Sam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lamar Louis!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ron Honeybunn and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sam shoots in and gets a takedown into Louis's guard.
Sam is standing up over Louis. Louis looks to escape but Sam dives into side control.

Louis is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sam goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Louis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sam's guard! Nice work there by Louis!
Louis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Sam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Louis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Louis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sam has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Louis has managed to get both his arms back between Sam's legs - danger averted.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Louis trying to control the position from guard on top but Sam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Louis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Louis looking to sit in guard and control but Sam gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sam postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sam trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sam accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Louis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sam.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sam trying to control but Louis is working from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Louis misses with a leg kick

and Sam counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sam.
Louis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sam has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sam wants to control from the top but Louis keeps moving.
Louis wants to control but Sam passes easily into half guard.
Sam prevents Louis from improving his position.
Sam throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Louis to regain full guard.

Louis is trying to control the position but Sam postures up.
Louis has Sam pulled in close to control his posture.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Louis is on top in guard.

Sam controls Louis momentarily but Louis frees himself.
Louis wanted to stand there but Sam had control of the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sam escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Louis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jetstream Sam dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sam tries to score with a low kick but Louis moves his leg out of the way.

Sam closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Louis's guard.
Sam lands a couple of elbows.
Louis controls Sam momentarily but Sam frees himself.
Sam throws an elbow that misses. Louis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sam's guard. Nice move by Louis!

Louis wants to control from the top but Sam keeps moving.
Sam could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Louis trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sam's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Louis trying to control but Sam is working from the bottom.
Louis throws a big right hand that misses.
Louis postures up in Sam's guard and throws a big left but Sam blocks it.

Sam is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Louis defends well.
Sam keeping moving, preventing Louis from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sam working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Louis.

Louis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sam is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Louis, into his guard.

Sam in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sam postures up.
Sam content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Louis throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Louis wants to sweep but no luck.
Sam postures up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Louis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Louis.
Louis thuds his shin into the meat of Sam's side.

Sam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Louis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sam is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Louis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sam working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Louis is looking for a sweep.
Sam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Louis can do to turn this around?

Jetstream Sam overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Louis tries to buck Sam off but Sam is having none of it.
Sam working the ground and pound.
Sam gets to mount! Louis was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Louis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Louis regains half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jetstream Sam dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Louis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jetstream Sam is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Sam closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sam lands in his opponent's guard.
Louis throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Louis trying to keep a closed guard but Sam is proving a slippery customer.
Sam missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Louis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Louis.
Louis is trying to keep Sam in close.
Louis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Sam counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Louis is wriggling around but Sam manages to pass to half guard.

Sam is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Sam is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Louis wants to get back to full guard.
Louis wants to get back to his feet.
Louis is looking for a sweep. Sam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sam controlling the action here.
Louis wants to improve his position but Sam is controlling well.
Sam stops Louis from getting back to his feet.
Louis felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Louis is trying to get back to full guard.
Sam lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Louis looking for submissions off his back.
Louis is looking to control Sam's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Louis avoid being mounted?
Louis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Louis keeps trying to improve his position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sam looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jetstream Sam showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
