Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hawk Williamson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phillip Phillips!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Williamson.
Phillips takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Phillips will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Phillips takes one to the chin there.

Phillips shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Phillips showed some decent athleticism there.
Phillips tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Williamson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Phillips is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williamson is looking to improve his position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Let's hope that Phillips has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Williamson scores with the left hand. Phillips knows he should have avoided that one.

Phillips tries to work over Williamson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Williamson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Phillips is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williamson is just riding it out for now. Phillips eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Phillips has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Williamson just misses with a punch to the body.
Phillip Phillips is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Williamson looks to land a right hand but Phillips moved out of range.
Williamson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Phillips uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Williamson.
Phillips is looking to clinch but Williamson is avoiding it.
Phillips tries to clinch up but Williamson circles away and keeps his distance.
Williamson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Williamson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Phillips tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Williamson counters with a right hand to the body.
Williamson looks to score with a jab to the body but Phillips is just out of range.
Phillips fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A quick step to the side and Williamson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Phillips shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Williamson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Phillips has his takedown stuffed
and Williamson counters with a nice uppercut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Phillips tries to clinch up
and Williamson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Phillips clinches up with Williamson and pushes him back against the cage.

Phillips has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Williamson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Williamson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Phillips is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Phillips wants to control but Williamson passes easily into half guard.
Williamson trying to mount his opponent but Phillips defends it.

Williamson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Phillips gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Williamson counters with a right hand to the body.

Phillips closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Phillips wants to stand but Williamson has his arm trapped.

Phillips tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Williamson is not content to let Phillips control the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Williamson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hawk Williamson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phillip Phillips.
Williamson misses the jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Phillips is defended easily by Williamson.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Phillip Phillips.
I think Phillips has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
