Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ching Chong (ranked 4866 p4p, 24754 weight class) and Rafael Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 24 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ching Chong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Gracie! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chong clinches up against the cage. Chong just leaning against Gracie, taking a breather. Gracie jumps guard and drags Chong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gracie looks winded! Chong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chong defends it easily. Chong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chong wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Chong trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Chong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Chong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Chong wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Chong is really struggling to control Gracie but he's trying to hold on to the position. Chong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chong postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie working for a triangle but Chong defends it easily.
Chong stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control. Chong working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Chong wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chong is looking for a kimura here.

Gracie tries to hold on but Chong postures up. Chong is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gracie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gracie shrugs it off. Gracie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chong working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ching Chong will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Chong is defending well.
Chong is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chong tries to roll over but Gracie keeps him under control. Gracie is looking to advance position but Chong won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Chong enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Chong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rafael Gracie has got the better of the ground game so far. Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Chong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.

Rafael Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Possibly, maybe, no Chong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

And that's the end of the fight! Ching Chong showed his dominance in that final round. Well Chong has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
