Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Smith (ranked 24801 p4p, 3854 weight class) and Handsome Mail (ranked 249 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Beckham. George Smith has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Handsome Mail!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith dives in and grabs Mail's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mail pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Mail wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mail lands a jab-cross combination.
Mail catches Smith with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jab, jab by Mail - just one landing.
Smith has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Special Ops N7 Training in the buildup to the fight.
Mail lands a lovely overhand right.
Mail jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.
George Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith shoots in for a double leg but Mail sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smith gets cracked there but stands up to it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mail scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheers as Mail lands an impressive looking overhand right. Smith doesn't seem phased though.
Mail lands with a nice body punch.
Smith wants to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mail! But no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mail connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smith. Smith circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mail throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mail connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
Mail lands a jab-cross combination.
Mail connects with a nice looking jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mail smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smith moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mail scores with a decent looking hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mail connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smith scrambles back to his feet.
Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mail.
Mail throws a one two combo.
Smith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Smith is rocked!
Mail is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Smith had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Smith shoots and misses
and Mail counters with a left and a right... And another left! Smith is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Handsome Mail!
