Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Ngozi Chai (ranked 936 p4p, 22008 weight class) and Cristóforo Carretero (ranked 127 p4p, 499 weight class). Carretero comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sun by DVRKHOLD kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai misses with an uppercut
enabling Carretero to counter with a crisp jab.
Chai takes a jab right on the kisser.

Carretero uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chai.

Chai cracks Carretero with an open hand slap.

Chai throws a head kick but Carretero moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chai works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Carretero throws a lazy right hand but Chai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Chai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Carretero has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chai.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chai cracks a nice hook into Carretero's ribs.
Carretero throws a lazy uppercut
and Chai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chai bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Carretero's head.
That has opened up Cristóforo Carretero's cut even more.
Chai lands a jab to the head.
Carretero is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
