Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Gaizka Elizondo (ranked 20676 p4p, 20697 weight class) and Kirov Sturmovik (ranked 512 p4p, 489 weight class). Elizondo comes to the cage accompanied by Peewee Longway & Money Man - Ooowwweee. Kirov Sturmovik told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 30 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaizka Elizondo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 31 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirov Sturmovik! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sturmovik takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Elizondo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sturmovik loads up on a big right hand but Elizondo slips the punch. Sturmovik swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Elizondo scores with a decent looking hook. Sturmovik rushes Elizondo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Elizondo is trying to force a seperation but Sturmovik has the dominant position. Sturmovik struggles to land a body shot inside as Elizondo controls his hands.

Sturmovik lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Elizondo backwards. Elizondo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sturmovik's elbow. Sturmovik tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sturmovik. Sturmovik has Elizondo pressed against the cage, preventing Elizondo from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Elizondo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sturmovik throws a head punch that misses. Sturmovik lands with a light punch inside. Sturmovik lands a left hand.
Elizondo lands a nice knee to the body. Elizondo blocks an elbow strike. Elizondo stalling in the clinch but Sturmovik improves position. Sturmovik tries to throw a body punch but Elizondo avoids it by throwing Sturmovik back against the cage. Sturmovik swings wildly with an uppercut but Elizondo uses good head movement to avoid it. Our sources have told us that Elizondo has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Elizondo lands an elbow inside. Sturmovik keeps control of Elizondo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sturmovik lands on the inside with an uppercut. Nice body punch from Elizondo. Elizondo is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Sturmovik throws a head punch that misses. Elizondo putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Sturmovik in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Sturmovik looks winded! Sturmovik swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Elizondo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sturmovik's defenses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Elizondo tries to break free but Sturmovik pushes him back against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Elizondo obliges. Elizondo lands a knee to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sturmovik takes an elbow to the forehead. Elizondo is looking to control Sturmovik's arms but Sturmovik gets an underhook and turns him. Now Elizondo has his back to the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Elizondo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Elizondo is looking to break free of the clinch but Sturmovik has double underhooks. Elizondo wants to get back to striking at distance but Sturmovik won't allow it.

Sturmovik misses with a knee to the head. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Sturmovik fails to land. Elizondo can't find room to land a body shot as Sturmovik controls the action.
Elizondo tries to break free but Sturmovik pushes him back against the cage. Sturmovik lands a shoulder strike. A right hook to the body lands for Sturmovik.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sturmovik throws a punch but it's blocked by Elizondo. Sturmovik takes a knee right on the jaw!

That has opened up Kirov Sturmovik's cut even more. Elizondo lands a good knee to the midsection. Sturmovik won't want to take too many of those. Sturmovik is still on wobbly legs! Can Elizondo finish him? Elizondo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gaizka Elizondo dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kirov Sturmovik's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Sturmovik takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Sturmovik throws a right and a left that both miss. Sturmovik throws a head kick that misses. Sturmovik throws a predictable looking body shot
and Elizondo counters with a straight right that drops Sturmovik to the canvas! Will Sturmovik beat the count? He's still wobbly and as the count reaches 7, he's still struggling to make it. 8...9...10. He's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Gaizka Elizondo! A very excited looking Gaizka Elizondo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
