Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Jose (ranked 3660 p4p, 2639 weight class) and Yuchung Li (ranked 397 p4p, 307 weight class). The key to victory for Fred Jose has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Jose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuchung Li! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Li dives in for a single leg takedown but Jose sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jose tries to counter by clinching up but Li breaks away and moves out of range. Li walks into a left hand. Li with a poor takedown and Jose counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Li tries for a takedown but Jose circles away easily and Jose counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fred Jose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuchung Li. Jose throws a combination that misses and Li decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jose's guard. Jose keeping moving, preventing Li from controlling successfully. Li throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Li sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jose's guard. Li wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jose keeps working. Jose on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jose tries to get out of the position. Li takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Li not landing any meaningful shots this time. Li is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Li winds up and cracks Jose with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Li sitting and controlling from the half guard. Li thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Li looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Li seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jose does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jose on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Li wants to control but Jose is keeping him busy. Li throwing shots but Jose is blocking nicely. Li works his foot free and advances to mount. Li cracks Jose with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Li postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jose looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Li cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Li with the ground and pound from mount. Jose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Li on the ground. Jose is in a horrible position here. Li smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whack. That's a big, big shot from Li! Jose is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Yuchung Li! During a confident post fight interview, Yuchung Li thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
