Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alessandro Padrilo (ranked 3098 p4p, 3640 weight class) and Gerry Watched (ranked 351 p4p, 391 weight class). Watched has chosen Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus as his entrance music. Alessandro Padrilo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alessandro Padrilo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerry Watched! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padrilo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Watched throws the left hand but Padrilo avoids the punch easily. As Watched looks to move away, Padrilo throws a big counter combo but Watched just gets out of the way. Watched throws a half hearted mid kick. Watched gets tackled into the cage by Padrilo. Padrilo maintains the clinch. Watched presses Padrilo against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Nice body punch from Watched - that landed with a thud.
A body shot lands from Watched.
Padrilo gets control of Watched's arms and successfully pulls guard. Padrilo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Watched got a little sloppy there for a moment and Padrilo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Watched has managed to get both his arms back between Padrilo's legs - danger averted. Padrilo pulls Watched in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Watched trying to stand up but can't free himself from Padrilo's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padrilo being controlled here, momentarily. Padrilo is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Padrilo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Watched scores with a nice head shot. Padrilo has Watched up against the cage in a clinch.
Watched lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Padrilo backwards. Watched struggles to land a body shot inside as Padrilo controls his hands.
Padrilo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Watched sitting in guard here, content to control. Padrilo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watched controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Padrilo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Padrilo pulls Watched in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Watched won't allow Padrilo to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Padrilo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Padrilo tries to clinch up. Padrilo moves into the clinch. Watched has Padrilo pushed against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Padrilo as Watched tries to tie him up. Watched is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Watched lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Padrilo jumps into guard, dragging Watched to the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Padrilo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Watched defends it easily. Padrilo is trying to control the position but Watched postures up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gerry Watched will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Padrilo throws a series of punches but Watched moves out of range. Watched throws a leg kick that misses. Padrilo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Watched as he jumps to the side. Padrilo moves out of range of the leg kick from Watched. Watched does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Padrilo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Padrilo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Watched to score with a decent uppercut. Watched circles away from the clinch attempt and Watched lands a stunning uppercut that sends Padrilo to the mat!
Padrilo is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Padrilo trying to control from the bottom.
Oh Padrilo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Watched looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Padrilo wants to improve his position but Watched is controlling well.
Watched content to control rather than advance. Padrilo seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padrilo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Watched is working away from the top position though. Watched is just content to waste time from the top position. Padrilo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Watched is sitting in close to Padrilo's body. Padrilo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Watched is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Watched is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Padrilo.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Alessandro Padrilo!
